Served as project engineer for in-field review <br />and make in-field repair recommendations of flood damaged bridges along the West Fork Little <br />Sioux River. <br /> <br />Bridge Inspection. Served as in-field bridge inspf~ctor for over 1000 bridges in western Iowa.. <br />Performed load ratings, scour analysis, and made repair recommendations. Also inspected and <br />prepared plans for bridges damaged by vehicle impact and flooding. <br /> <br />Union Pacific Railroad Company. Serving as projtlct engineer;' project manager for the drainage <br />analysis required to design bridges and culverts located in various parts of the United States. Also <br />responsible for obtaining all necessary permits for the construction of these structures. <br /> <br />Dakota, Minnesota & Eastern Railroad. Serving as project manager for the preliminary drainage <br />analysis and design for all of the bridges and culverts on approximately 300 miles of existing track <br />reconstruction and 150 miles of new track through the states on Minnesota, South Dakota, and <br />Wisconsin. <br /> <br />Omaha Public Power District. Served as project fmgineer for the drainage analysis and structure <br />sizing for two bridges on a newly acquired rail line in southeastern Nebraska. Other considerations <br />included in the analysis and design included 10+ feet of aggregation at one site and the potential fi)r <br />an additional 9 feet of degradation at the other site. <br /> <br />Nebraska Department of Roads, Nebrasklll. Served as proj'~ct engineer lor hydrologic and <br />hydraulic analysis and design for 27 bridge sitf:s throughout the state of Nebraska. Responsible fi)r <br />preliminary plans and report preparation. <br /> <br />Harveys Hotel and Convention Center and Boat JClocking Slip, Council Blufts, Iowa. Performed <br />hydraulic study to obtain permits for the construction of the docking slip, pedestlian ramps, and <br />guide dolphins with in the Missouri River floodway. <br /> <br />Numerous RBC and Bridges for Woodbury County, Iowa. These projects included performing <br />the drainage analysis, design, and preparing constmction plans for straight barr~l and broken back <br />culverts, flumes, and bridges. Some of the culverts serve as grade control structures and remove as <br />much as 20 feet of grade. All of these projects deal with side drainage and tie this drainage into the <br />main stream. <br /> <br />Winnebago-Macy Highway 75, Thurston County, Nebraslloll. Served as design engineer on <br />Phase I which includes a hydraulic and hydrologic study using the HEC-1I computer program to size <br />4 bridges over the Elkhorn River tributaries. <br /> <br />Bridge over Indian Creek, Hastings, Iowa. Sf~rved as project engineer for design of a <br />55 meter-long, 10.8 meter-wide, 5-span slab bridge over Indian Creek. Bridge is located in FEMA <br />floodway. <br /> <br />Highway 375 Bridge Replacement over Mosquito Creek, Council Bluffs" Iowa.
