Served as design <br />engineer for design of an auditorium roof 90 feet by 40 feet. Was designed using steel joists, <br />supported by steel beams and columns. Foundation plan for new footings and details for <br />strengthening existing wall and foundations to support new roofIoads was compl,~ted. <br /> <br />Omaha Public Power District (OPPD), TranSI)ortation Maintenance Facility, Irvingtoll, <br />Nebraska. Structural design for final design plans for a l3,800-square foot OPPD maintenance <br />facility. This facility includes a 40-foot ceiling, structural frame, masonry base, metal panel walls, <br />three drive-through bays, maintenance bays, and overhead doors. <br /> <br />U.S. Highway 7S Bypass Bridges, Sioux City, Iowa. Design of three grade separations, which <br />include five different road grade separation bridges: <br /> <br />· Design of twin structures, 183 foot by 43 foot tIm~e-span pretensioned prestressed concrete beam <br />bridges, U.S. 75 over 28th Street with a 21 degree 41 feet 23 inch skew. The bridge decks are on <br />a 2 degree horizontal curve in full superelevation. <br />· Design of twin structures, 144 foot by 43 foot three-span preten~ioned, prestressed concrete <br />beam bridges, U.S. 75 over Stone Avenue with a 5 degree 30 foot skew. The bridge decks are on <br />a zero degree 20 foot horizontal with no superelevation. <br />· Design of 223 foot by 33 foot two-span pretensioned prestressed concrete beam bridge, U.S. 75 <br />under Correctionville Road with an II degree 30 foot skew. U.S. 75 is on a horizontal spiral and <br />in superelevation transition. <br /> <br />Valley View Drive, Railroad Bridge Extensiion, Council Bluffs, Iowa. Design of a two-spall <br />extension to an existing weathering steel-girdf:r railroad bridge to accommodate the alignment of a <br />four-lane street facility for Valley View Drivf, in Council Bluffs. The bridge has a fully ballasted <br />deck supported by precast concrete deck pan<:1s. The bridge extension is 154 feet, 7.5 inches in <br />length and consists of two simply supported spans, one 107 feet, 4 inches and one 45 feet. <br /> <br />McPherson Avenue over Mosquito Creek, Council Bluffs, Iowa. Design of 298-foot by 34-foot <br />three-span pretensioned prestressed concrete beam bridge over Mosquito Creek with a 40 degree <br />skew. Mosquito Creek was previously hydraulically mapped andl had an existing flood insurance <br />study in place. A HEC-2 computer analysis was required to model the new bridge. Project included <br />abutments, T-piers (hammerhead) on pile footings, approach grading and paving. Project funded <br />with federal bridge replacement funds. <br /> <br />2nd Avenue Bridge over Indian Creek Replal:ement, Council Bluffs, Iowa. Served as <br />construction observer for a 55-foot by 39-foot 3 inches prestressed, concrete beam replacement <br />bridge over paved Indian Creek channel. Project included utiJity relocation and coordination, <br />approach paving, and sidewalk on one side of bridge. Project fundf:d with federal bridge replacement <br />funds. <br /> <br />Omaha Parks Department. Served as project engineer and construction manager for numerous <br />projects throughout Omaha.
