Statutes - State. <br /> <br />a) Colorado Land Use Act. <br />C.R.S. ~~24-65-101, 24-65-105. <br /> <br />The statute establishes a nine-member Colorado <br />land use commission. Among other powers, the commission has authority <br />to l'assist counties and municipalities in developing guidelines for <br />developing land uses and construction controls within designated <br />floo,jways. . ." <br /> <br />b) Drainage of State Lands. <br />C.R.S. ~~37-30-101, 37-30-105. <br /> <br />The statute authorizes the state board of lard <br />commissioners to mape contracts with any person, corporation, <br />association, or drainage district to provide drainage of state lrnds. <br /> <br />c) Water Conservation Board of Colorado. <br />C.R.S. ~~37-60-101, 37-60-123. <br /> <br />The statute creates a thirteen-member state <br />water conservation board for purposes of water conservation and <br />flood prevention. An important duty of this board is to "designate <br />and approve storm or floodwater runoff channels or basins, and to <br />maLe such designations available to legislative bodies of cities <br />and incorporated towns, ... and counties of this state."
