All master plan improvements are designed for
future basin development conditions. The improvements include:

1. Upgrading of the culvert under the paved path in Bear Creek
Park.

The Phase A report on Major Drainageway Planning for Marston Lake
North has been reviewed by the Urban Drainage and Flood Control
District, City and County of Denver, and Denver Water Department. The
recommended alternative plan was accepted by all jurisdictions with
the following comments:

2. A grass-lined channel with 10-year design capacity from Bear
Creek to Kenyon Avenue.

3. Upgrading of the culvert under Kenyon Avenue.

1. A culvert sufficient to carry rOO-year flood shall be pro-
vided at Sheridan Boulevard.

4. Upgrading of the Incinerator Lake Reservoir.

5. A bridge with 100-year design capacity at Sheridan Boulevard.

2. Proposed channel improvements through Bear Creek Park should
be coordinated with the Denver Parks and Recreation
Department.

6. Floodplain delineation of the Pinehurst Golf Course.

3. Provide flow separation structures at all irrigation ditches.

7. Upgrading of the embankment of three lakes in the Pinehurst
Golf Course with buried riprap.

4. Provide appropriate maintenance access to all improvements
and open channel reaches.

8. Four arch pipes for low flows (5-year capacity) at Quincy Avenue.

5. Provide velocity control structures where excessive veloci-
ties and/or sustained low flows would cause channel side slo-
pes to erode and/or the stream bed to degrade.

9. A grass-lined channel with 100-year design capacity from
Quincy Avenue to the Marston Lake caretaker's house access.

10. An arch pipe with 100-year design capacity at the Marston
Lake caretaker's house access.

6. Any storm sewer inlets to be provided in conjunction with the
recommended and/or sel ected improvements shoul d be "Type R"
as designated by the Colorado Department of Highways and

11. A low flow diversion structure with control gate near the
Marston Lake caretaker's house access for Fort Logan lateral.
