When the temporary ring levee is complete, excavate the existing <br />levee using 1 vertical on 3 horizontal cut slopes. Upon completion of the pipeline and before placing levee fill, <br />the entire foundation area to be occupied by the levee fill shall be <br />scarified, plowed, and/or harrowed to a depth of 6 inches and then <br />compacted by at least 16 complete passes of the tamping roller. <br /> <br />f, Accomplish levee replacements by placing fill in 6-inch lifts <br />and compacting by not less than eight complete passes of a tamping <br />roller. The fill shall also be equal to 95 percent Standard AASHO <br />density. After compaction the moisture content shall be within the <br />limits of 3 percentage points above optimum to 2 percentage points below <br />optimUIII moisture content. <br /> <br />g.
