The detailed-study area includes 2.7 miles of
stream channel.

Sellers Gulch and Unnamed Tributary to Sellers Gulch are ephemeral
streams.

A small, unnamed tributary flows westerly for approximately 1
mile, where it joins Sellers Gulch, approximat~ly 400 feet west of
Lake Gulch Road. This tributary drains roughly 1.5 square miles
of industrial and residential land.

Carpenter Creek drains approximately 22.8 square miles of farm-
land. The creek perennially flows northeasterly through Greenland
and joins East Plum Creek south of Larkspur. The area encompassed
by the detailed study includes 1.5 miles of Carpenter Creek at
Greenland. Greenland is zoned for residential development.

Cherry Creek, which drains an area of approximately 385 square
miles, flows northerly to Cherry Creek Lake in Arapahoe County.
The main developed areas along the l6-mile study length of Cherry
Creek are Franktown and Parker. The development in this area is
predominantly agricultural. Cherry Creek and its tributaries are
ephemeral streams.

Happy Canyon Creek, which drains an area of 17.2 square miles,
originates in the Daniels Park area and flows northeasterly
through Douglas County into Arapahoe County, joining Cherry Creek
approximately 1.5 miles north of the Douglas-Arapahoe County line.
The detailed-study area includes the length of the stream from
Grandview Estates to Cherry Creek, approximately 3.5 miles. The
area south of Grandview Estates is zoned residential and is rela-
tively undeveloped. From the Douglas-Arapahoe County line to the con-
fluence with Cherry Creek, little or no development exists in what
is an agricultural area.

Newlin Gulch flows northeasterly to Cherry Creek through Douglas
County. Five miles of Newlin Gulch upstream from the confluence
with Cherry Creek were studied. It drains an area of approxi-
mately 15.0 square miles. The watershed is zoned for residential
development, but has few existing buildings.

Baldwin Gulch, draining an area of approximately 3.7 square miles,
flows westerly to Cherry Creek, passing between the Ponderosa
Hills and Homestead Hills developments. A detention dam and
reservoir east of Pine Drive control flood flows downstream to
Cherry Creek. Approximately 3.6 miles of Baldwin Gulch were
studied by detailed methods.

Sulphur Gulch, draining an area of 17.1 square miles, is immedi-
ately south of the Baldwin Gulch drainage area.
