<br />were designated and approved by the Colorado Water Conservation <br />Board, as requested by the Urban Drainage and Flood Control <br />District and by certain communities by Resolutions listed in <br />said Table, of Source Floodplain ~eports; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS. the new Flood Insutance Study includes floodprone <br />areas (Zone A), which are approximate floodplains, for Jordan <br />Road Tributary, Oak Gulch, unnamed tributary to Cherry Creek, <br />and Lemon Gulch within the study area; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br />floodplain <br />tributary <br />detailed <br />26~; and <br /> <br />said new Flood Insurance Study includes the <br />delineation by apProximate methods for unnamed <br />to Tallman Gulch, w~ich is inconsistent with the <br />floodplain information designated by Resolution No. <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the Town of Park~r has requested th~ Colorado <br />Water Conservation Board to designate and approve the <br />floodplain areas as set fortn in the aforesaid new Flood <br />Insurance Study; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, Section 37-60-~06(1)(C), Colorado Revised <br />Statutes, requires the Colorado Water Conservation Board to <br />assist in the prevention of floods and flood damages therefrom; <br />and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, Sections 31-23-301 and 30-28-111, Colorado Revised <br />Statutes, provide that such legislative bodies of local <br />jurisdictions may provide zoning regulations for land uses on <br />_.____ ____Qr alona al!Y storm or floodwatElr runoff channel or basin only <br />after designation and approval by the Colorado Water- <br />Conservation Board; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, Section 37-60-106(1) (c), Colorado Revised <br />Statutes, directs the Colorado Water Conservation Board to <br />designate and approve storm or floodwater runoff channels or <br />basins and to make such designations available to legislative <br />bodies of local jurisdictions; and <br /> <br />._WHE.R~~~, the detailed floodplain information for the storm <br />and floodwater Hiiinc)ff .cl1arllle1s oi:- basins' . in -said -new"Flood <br />Insurance Study for Cherry Creek, Sulphur Gulch, and Tallman <br />Gulch downstream of a point approximately 1,400 feet upstream <br />of the section line between Sect ions 23 and 26, TownShip 6 <br />South, Range 66 West, within the study area, does not require <br />redesignation; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, rescission <br />information for Tallman <br />Resolution No. 268 is not <br /> <br />of the said <br />Gulch Tributary <br />required; and <br /> <br />detailed <br />No. 1 <br /> <br />floodplain <br />included in <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br />detailed and <br />recommend to <br /> <br />the staff of the ~oard has reviewed said revised <br />approximate floodPlain information and does hereby <br />the Colorado Water Conservation Board that the <br /> <br />-2- <br />
