Develop training materials about m~igation, <br /> <br />Figure 6.2 <br /> <br />6.1.4 Role of Local Government Emergency <br />Managers and Floodplain <br />Coordinbators <br />Local government emergency management and <br />floodplain coordinators are frequently forced by multiple <br />roles and job demands to deal with mitigation issues <br />and projects. Throughout the mitigation planning <br />process, the county EMCs and floodplain coordinators <br />have played an important role, They are the local level <br />contact and the coordinator of mitigation <br />implementation, programs and activities, In that role, the <br />counly EMC is the key communication point between <br />the state and local level and between local community <br />agencies and organizations, <br /> <br />Local government emergency management <br />coordinators and floodplain managers will assist in <br />implementing this plan at the local level, Among their <br />suggested actions are: <br /> <br />. Worl<ing closely and communicating w~h the OEM <br />Local Services staff and the SHMO to implement <br />mitigation recommendations <br /> <br />.
