These photos shall be <br /> <br />clearly labeled and attached to the Technical Appendix. <br />Maps and Field Surveys <br /> <br />The lOa-year floodplain limits shall be shown on a map of <br /> <br />suitable detail and scale. <br /> <br />The map may be an existing topographic map, town or county <br /> <br />map or it may have to be prepared especially for the study by <br /> <br />photogrammetric methods. <br /> <br />Additional field surveys may also be required for obtaining <br /> <br />channel and floodplain cross sections and structure dimensions. <br /> <br />The minimum map scale shall be 1" = 1000', maps on a larger <br /> <br />scale however are preferable. The map used shall show all cultural <br /> <br />features including roads and streets with correct names, railroads, <br /> <br /> <br />irrigation canals etc., and shall~how all streams, lakes and <br /> <br />reservoirs. The maps should preferably contain cOntOur lines of <br /> <br />close interval. <br /> <br />If the maps are declared to be of a specified <br /> <br />scale, they shall carry the statement "This Map Meets or Exceeds <br /> <br />National Map Accuracy Standards." If the maps are to an approximate <br /> <br />scale they shall be labeled "Approximate." If large scaled photo- <br /> <br />grammetric mapping is produced <br /> <br />(to 1" = 500') the type <br /> <br />of plottin9 instrument, the "CO factor, the camera focal length <br />and the vertical and horizontal control used for compilation shall <br /> <br />be described. <br /> <br />All leveling and horizontal control surveys for photogrammetric <br /> <br />mapping' shall be to at least 3rd order accuracy. <br /> <br />Field surveys of cross sections shall meet the following <br />
