<br />infonnation previously designated and approved by Resolution No. 263 for various stream reaches <br />within the unincoporated portions ofEI Paso County, as they were on September 28, 1990, which have <br />drainage areas that do not meet the minimum standards of the procedure adopted by the Board for <br />estimating l00-year flows for approximate floodplain illfonnation, which information was, therefore, <br />not designated and approved as approximate floodplaiJ1 with approximate hydrology infonnation by , <br />Resolution No. 96-436; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, said new report for El Paso County dated September 28, 1990 provides approximate <br />floodplain information which corrects earlier ommissions of approximate floodplain infonnation <br />resulting from drafting errors for the following stream reaches listed in Table 2, attached bereto and by <br />this reference incorporated herein: <br /> <br />TABLE 2 <br /> <br />Annroximate Infonnation Which Corrects Previouslv Ommissions Due to Draftinl!: Errors <br /> <br />Teachout Creek from its confluence with Monument Creek upstream to a point approximately 800 feet upstream of that <br />confluence <br /> <br />Unnamed east,bank tributary to Monument Creek from its confluence with Monument Creek upstream to Interstate <br />Highway 25 <br /> <br />;and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the hydrology for the approximate strellID reaches descnbed in said new report listed <br />in Table 2 has been estimated in accordance with the (Juidelines for Determining loa-Year Flood <br />Flows fOT Approximate Floodplains by utiliZing the regression equation for Arkansas River Basin <br />Subregion 4b; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the estimation of l00-year peak flows for the approximate floodplains for the stream <br />reaches described in said new report listed in Table 2 js described in the Hydrology Aildendum for <br />Approximate Floodplains dated August 1996, hereby attached to said new report dated September <br />28, 1990; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, EI Paso County, Colorado, has reqt1ested the Colorado Water Conservation to <br />designate and approve the floodplains set forth in the aforesaid new report; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, Section 37-60-106(1)(c), Colorado Revised Statutes, requires the Colorado Water <br />Conservation Board to assist in the prevention of floods jlIld flood damages therefrom; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, Sections 31-23-301 and 30-28-111, Colorado Revised Statutes, provide that <br />legislative bodies of local jurisdictions may provide zoning regulations for land uses on or along any <br />storm or floodwater runoff channel or basin only after designation and approval by the Colorado Water <br />Conservation Board; and <br /> <br />5 <br /> <br />- <br />
