<br />Colorado River <br />Horizon Drive Channel <br />Indian Wash <br />Leach Creek; and <br /> <br />e <br /> <br />WHEREAS, said new report provided detailed floodplain information for the <br />previously unstudied reach of Horizon Drive Channel from its confluence with Leach Creek <br />upstream to a point approximately 5200 feet above 24 Road; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, said new report provides, on the basis of revised hydrologic analyses and <br />of more current topographic mapping, detailed floodplain information that revises the <br />information contained in those portions of the floodplain reports previously designated by <br />Resolution No. 79 on September 23, 1977 relating to the reach of the Colorado River from <br />a point approximately 385.0 miles upstream of Lees Ferry, Arizona, upstream to a point <br />approximately 385.2 miles upstream of Lees Ferry, Arizona, and relating to the reach of <br />Horizon Drive Channel from a point approximately 5200 feet above 24 Road upstream to <br />a point approximately 6600 feet above 24 Road, and detailed information that revises the <br />information contained in that portion of the floodplain report previously designated by <br />Resolution No. 208 on January 6, 1983 relating to the reach of the Colorado River from a <br />point approximately 385.2 miles upstreaJll of Lees Ferry, .Arizona, upstream to a point <br />approximately 388.7 miles upstream of Lees Ferry, Arizona, and relating to Horizon Drive <br />Channel from a point approximately 6600 feet above 24 Road upstream to the corporate <br />limit of the City of Grand Junction near 261h Road, on July 15, 1992, and from the _ <br />corporate limit of the City of Grand Junction near 27 Road, on July 15, 1992, upstream to _ <br />the crossing of G Road; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the following floodplains for which information is included in said new <br />report have already been designated and approved by the Colorado Water Conservation <br />Board: <br /> <br />Indian Wash <br />Leach Creek <br /> <br />(FPR # 208) <br />(FPR # 208); and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the floodplain inform~tion contained within said new report is consistent <br />with the floodplain information in Resolution No. 92-330, dated September 15, 1992, as <br />presented in the July 15, 1992 report; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City of Grand Junction has requested the Colorado Water <br />Conservation Board to designate and approve the floodplains set forth in the aforesaid new <br />report; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, Section 37-60-106(1)(C), Colorado Revised Statutes, requires the <br />Colorado Water Conservation Board to assist in the prevention of floods and flood damages <br />therefrom; and <br /> <br />2 <br /> <br />e <br />
