The meaSIJrement: for payment for <br />each speclflc SlZe or type of p---rpe,:except'segments as may be otherwise pro- <br />vided for in the Proposal, will be the actual number of linear feet of pipe <br />installed, complete in place, measured along the centerline of the pipe. <br /> <br />The unit price bid per linear foot for the construction of each section <br />of the pi pel i ne shall i nc I ude all of the Contractor's costs of whatsoever <br />nature for the complete construction of the pipeline, appurtenances, or items <br />otherwise provided for elsewhere in the Proposal. The price bid shall inclu- <br />de: furnishing, transporting, and installing all pipe. and materials; joints <br />and jointing materials including grout, mortar, O-rings, gaskets, end plugs or <br />caps, and other mi scell aneous items as requi red to construGt the speci fi ed <br />pipe; removal of asphalt or sod or other surfacing mater-ials; excavation <br />including exploratory excavation; constructing the specified bedding; back- <br />filling, including the furnishing of any additional suitable backfill material <br />that may be required; method of backfill and compaction as speCified; restora- <br />tion of ground surface to its origina'l condHion, includin!l the removal and <br />replacement of trees and bushes less than six inches in diameter; trench sup- <br />porting; trench dewatering; care and diversion of drainage courses; protection <br />and adjusting of aboveground and underground util ities and service connec- <br />tions; disposal of debris or excess excavated material, and damaged materials; <br />traffic control including barricades, detours, and flagmen; removal and <br />disposing of debris prior to excaviltion; testing and inspection; removal and <br />d i sposa I of pavement or other roadway surfaci ng, -i nel udi ng, where requi red, <br />concrete sawi ng or otherwi se effectively cutting any exi sti ng concrete pave- <br />ment smoothly and squarely in a manner sati sfactory to the Engi neer; and all <br />other related and necessary materials, ./ork, and equipment required to <br />construct the pipe in accordance with the Drawings and Specifications. <br /> <br />Item No. 900 MOBILIZATION AND PROVISION OF FIELD OFFICE FACIL!TIES. No <br />quantity measurement will be made for an,y materials or work required to <br />complete this item. The lump sum price bid for mobilization and provision of <br />field office facilities shall include all of the Contractor's costs of what- <br />soever nature to mobilize and set up field office facilities. The price bid <br />shall include: furnishing, transporting, and installing field office <br />facilities; all permits; mobilizing for the proposed improvements; and any <br />other reI ated and necessary materi a 1 s, work, and equ'i pme'nt to mobil i ze and <br />provide field office facilities. <br /> <br />Item No. 1000 OVEREXCAVATION FOR STABILIZATION.
