The measure- <br />ment for payment for the constructlon of tnestand;lrO manholes with the <br />specified diameter barrel and standard precast cone sections will be the indi- <br />vidual structure, complete in place. <br /> <br />The uni t pri ce bi d per manhol e structure sha 1"1 i nc-J ude all of the <br />Contractor's costs of whatsoever nature. The price bid shall include: remo- <br />val of eXisting manhole; furnishing, transporting, and installing the <br />materials; excavation, sheeting and/or bracing; concrete; reinforcement; pre- <br />cast manhole sections and cones; brick, mortar, plastic joint sealant and <br />grout; manhole steps; ring and cover; construction and shaping of the base <br />invert including all pipe incorporated within the manhole; cutting and <br />plugging existing sewer lines where required; removal of all pavement, base <br />course, and subbase material; sod and other surfacing material required for <br />construction of the manhole; backfilling and compacting; and all other related <br />and necessary materials, work, and equipment required to construct the man- <br />holes complete in accordance with the Drawings and Specifications. <br /> <br />Item No. 703 8-INCH PVC PIPE. The measurement fOl' payment for each spe- <br />c ifi c si ze and type of pi pe will be the actual number of 1 i near feet of sewer <br />pipe installed, complete in place, measured along the centerline of the pipe <br />from inside face of manhole to inside face of manhole, from inside face of <br />manhole to given station, from given station to given station along the cen- <br />terl i ne of the pi pe, or from center of manhole to center of manhol e wi th <br />deducti ons made for the internal di ametel" or dimensi ons of manhol es or <br />structure. <br /> <br />The unit price bid per linear foot for the construction of each section <br />of the pipeline shall include all of the Contractor's costs of whatsoever <br />nature for the complete construction of the pipeline, exclusion of manholes, <br />appurtenances, or items otherwi se provi ded for e 1 sel~here in the Drawi ngs <br />and/or Specifications. The price bid shall include: furnishing, <br />transporting, and installing all pipe and materials; joints and jointing <br />materials including grout, mortar, O-rings, wyes, tees, gaskets, concrete <br />collars (if required), concrete closure joints, and other miscellaneous items <br />as required to construct the specified pipe joint; removal of asphalt or sod <br />or other surfacing materials; excavation -including exploratory excavation; <br />constructing the specified bedding; backfilling, including the furnishing of <br />any additional suitable backfill material that may be required; method of <br />back fi 11 and compacti on as speci fi ed; res tora ti on of ground surface to its <br />original condition, including the removal and replacement of trees and bushes <br />less than six inches in diameter: trench supporting; trench dewatering; care <br />and diversion of drainage courses; protection and adjusting of aboveground and <br />underground utilities and service connections; reconnecting existing service <br />connections; lateral connections-of either new or existing pipe to new pipe: <br />disposal of debris or excess excavated mater-ial, and damaged materials; traf- <br />fic control including barricades, detours, and flagmen: removal and disposing <br />of debris prior to excavation: testing and inspection; removal and disposal of <br /> <br />1-15 <br />
