Coordinate with the Town and CWCB and other interested parties. This item
will include at least three on-site meetings as follows: an initial meeting to obtain
relevant information and discuss the project with the Town; conduct groundwater flow
test with the Town's assistance; and, meet with the Town to review the final plan.

llL Project Understanding

Kiowa has discussed the project with Mr. Larry Lang of the CWCB and reviewed the Scope of
Services document. We understand that the underdrain will be approximately 12" in diameter
and extend as shown on the map attached to the Scope of Services document. Local aggregate
will be used to surround the pipe and filter fabric will be specified to minimize sand infiltration
/..--
into the pipe, if needed. The Town will provide equipment to excavate two test holes and also,
provide a calibrated pump to determine underground flow rates. Kiowa will measure the flow
rates and determine the appropriate pipe flow capacity and necessary pumping capacity. The
Town will apply and receive necessary environmental permits. The Town will coordinate with
the State Engineers office regarding water rights and return flow issues. ~

Kiowa carries Errors and Omissions insurance in excess of $50,000,00. Kiowa also carries
liability insurance and statutory coverages required by law.

The Town of Crook will furnish Kiowa with the items listed in the Scope of Services document ~
and screened mylar aerial photographs used by ARIX for project No, 9062.00. Kiowa will
prepare plans showing the items listed including existing features, ditch alignment, typical
sections, notes, wet well, profile of drain lines, estimated quantities, including earthwork, utility
details (sewer line crossings, etc.), haul routes and disposal sites. A technical addendum will
be prepared containing all pertinent calculations, correspondence and other documentation. A
design report will accompany the plans and specifications to describe the design and document
the decisions made during the course of the project.

IV. Schedule and Budget

The proposed fee for the project is $10,000. (If a package (pre-engineered) pump station is
found to be not suitable for the design flows, additional fees will be necessary to cover
electrical and mechanical engineering designs.) Billings will be made monthly on a percentage
completion basis. Any construction services (testing, observations, etc.) will be billed on an
hourly basis in addition to the design fee.

The project schedule allows 60 days for completion of plans, specifications and bid documents.
An additional 30 day period is anticipated for bidding.
