' <br /> <br />RE: RIO GRANDE LEVEE SYSTEM AT ALAMOSA <br />EMERGENCY GOLF COURSE LEVEE REPAIR <br />MEC Project No. 8601 <br /> <br />Dear Mr. Tully: <br /> <br />As you requested, we have enclosed copies of construction drawings for <br />levee rehabilitation work near the golf course at A1amosa, Colorado. <br />The work consists of placing riprap to reinforce existing rock placed <br />by the Corps, rehabilitation of concrete rubble placed during the high <br />river flows of last summer, and an extension of the riprap to protect <br />the rehabilitated areas until future levee improvements are made. <br /> <br />We trust that the work will not require an individual 404 permit but <br />rather can be comp1 eted under the nati onwi de permit. The 60-day <br />review time necessary to secure an individual permit would not allow <br />the work to be completed before the high runoff season. <br /> <br />Please let us know as soon as possible which 404 permit type will be <br />required for this work.
