The unauthorized activity is <br />located on the Blue HiveI' in Breckenridge, Summit County, Colorado. <br /> <br />At this location, Sa;~ill station Associates has placed fill material <br />and constructed a foot bridge abutment in the Blue River. <br /> <br />SaWmill station Associates has been advised by the District Engineer <br />that the work is in violation of the law and that an investigation <br />has been initiated. A cease and desist order was issued on 19 December <br />1979. <br /> <br />To assist us in evaluating the benefical and detrimental effects of this <br />work, we are soliciting your views concerning its impact and/or any <br />violation of state or City-County regulations which may have occurred <br />as a result of the work. possible actions under consideration are <br />modification, and/or.to accept and process an application for a Department <br />of the Army Permit. A determination to accept and process an application <br />for a Department of the Army Permit would not imply that a permit will be <br />issued. Issuance or denial of a permit application would depend upon <br />information received in response to the Public Notice issued by this <br />office during the processing of the application. <br /> <br />We would appreciate receiving your comments on this matter by 1 March <br />1980.
