<br />Pursuant to correspondence commencing with my letter of September 24,
<br />1975, requesting technical input from the District and a subsequent
<br />meeting of concerned parti8s on November 11, 1975, the resolution of
<br />eli screpanci8S between your studies and those of the Federal Insurance
<br />Administration has reachcd the following point. I am recommending to
<br />the FIA Gov8rnm8nt T8chnical RepfGS8ntative that the Flood Insurance
<br />Studies on Adams and Arapah08 Counties reflect the lOO-year water
<br />surface elevations dev810p8d by the District at most points along Big
<br />Dry and Little Dry Creeks in Arapahoe County and Big Dry Creek in
<br />Adams Ceunty. In most instances the differences to the lOO-year pro-
<br />files result from vilrying assumptions on storm precipitation conditions,
<br />land use as SU mption s, hydrograph routing and hydrograph eomputa tional
<br />mrcthods" Intrcrestingly, the assumption of existing versus future basin
<br />lilnd use has little significance on the actual lOO-year flood profile.
<br />Your car8ful revi8w of the results tabulated in Exhibits A-I through A-4
<br />will substantiate the nexus of profiles.
