At this point I have one specific concern <br />as it relates to your letter. Item number one states that you cannot make <br />technical comments bused merely upon the flood boundary and floodway <br />maps, and the flood profiles. Then two logical questions follow: precisely <br />what information do you need to provide technical comments and secondly, <br />what type of technical review is necessary so that the Colorado Water <br />Conservation Board will designate the FIA flood plains for flood plain <br />management purposes? <br /> <br />c_ <br /> <br />It is essential that any questions you have regarding the technical adequacy <br />of our Flood Insurance Studies be addressed during the conduct of the study. <br />To postpone your comments until the formal FIA Appeals Period would be <br />costly and could ultimately result in a confrontation between state and <br />Federal statutes. Therefore, I must reiterate the necessity of securing <br />your acceptance of the rIA data prior to submission of our consultants' <br />technical data to Washington, D.C.
