.

.

2

Little Dry Creek, ArilpClhoe County

1. Holly Street

Big Dry Dmek, Adams County

1. Interstilte 25

The differences and masoning for each are found in Exhibit B along
with supporting profiles. I would suggest that yOu review your data
of these syecUic points. If you need additional information, please
feel free to contact Gingery Associates directly. Following your review,
I would appreciilte il letter which indicatcs whether you agree with our
anillysis. If you do not agree, be specific in your reasoning sO that
your comments may be transmitted to our review consultant along with
the technical Flood Insurance Study data on Adams and Arapahoe Counties.
I would appreciate your comments by December 24, 1975.

I believe the discussions on these streams point out the necessity of
devcIoping cooperative procedures between the District and the FIA.
\^1hen you have developed or are in the process of generating flood
hilzard dat"'-, it is essential that Our consultants be given access to
it to avoid dupliCiltions of effort and technical conflicts. The reverse
is also true; you need access to Our technical data to develop future
Master Plilns. If you engilge in two-foot contour milpping in cooperation
with the State and local governmcmts, it is to our mutual benefit to
time the milpping so that it may be used in conjunction with the com-
mencement of Flood Insurance Studies. Utilization of the FIA priority
lists developed by the Colorado Water Conservation Board can be a
useful guide to our coordination. I would welcome your thoughts on
how procedures can be improved.

Sincerely,

Jerome M.
