The significant area of the ditch for this investigation

begins from Highway 160 West at Bear Creek Road to Interstate Highway 25. This

includes the area before the drain enters the ditch and that area affected by the drainage.

The main area ofthe Holita Ditch that we are concerned about is the part of the ditch that

runs from Russell Street, where the drainage pipe enters the ditch, to the culvert at 1-25.

The upper portion ofthe Holita Ditch consists of approximately a 36" diameter with a

slope of about 0.5 to 10%. The bottom is generally four feet, and the average depth is

three to four feet.

11.2.0.0 Dimensions above the city runoff before going underground. These rough

measurements were taken upon the site visit At Highway 160 West near Bear Creek

Road, the top width ofthe ditch was 27' with a bottom width of9'10". The height was

7'6". At this location, the ditch flows under the highway restricted by concrete

boundaries 8' wide, 6' high, and 44.5' long.

IL2.0.1 Location of ditch underground.
