<br />G. Kansas' authorization is granted for impounding water as part of <br />permit to construct. <br /> <br />H. Maine's permit must be obtained before construction can begin. <br /> <br />I. Maryland refers to its Regulation Section 04.D.6. <br /> <br />J. Massachusetts' State Code Chap. 91 designates the Division of <br />Waterways with this responsibility. <br /> <br />K. Minnesota does not have separate permit for this but approvals to <br />impound water are sometimes used. <br /> <br />L. Mississippi requires the owner to make application for a water use <br />permit if the impoundment is from a continuous free flow stream. <br /> <br />M. Missouri' s safety permi t is issued after construction is completed. <br />Registration permit is issued after an existing dam is modified. <br /> <br />N. Nevada gives a permission to impound, but no formal permit is granted. <br /> <br />P. Ohio does not issue specific permit to impound, but completed <br />constructions must be approved by State before impoundment may start. <br /> <br />S. Oklahoma calls this "Certification of Completion". <br /> <br />T. Pennsylvania requires permittee and design engineer <br />a Completion Certification Report. Rhode Island requires the Contractor to submit (to the Dam Safety <br />Office) a notice of "Substantial Completion." <br /> <br />V. Utah sends a letter allowing storage following a final field <br />inspection. <br /> <br />W. Washington issues a water right reservoir storage permit, but no <br />permit based on approval of construction. <br /> <br />X.
