6.3 Semiannual Tests
6.3.1 When - Mid-February and ,July.

6.3.2 Tasks
1. Do all routine maintenance listed in Part 6.2.
Substitute an on-line test for the off-line test
described in that Part.
2. On-line test
a. Notify everyone '~n the call list that the dialer
is supposed to c<l.ll them..
b. Raise the lower :float and hold it up.
c. Let the ent:ire lower alarm tape play until the
alarm stops.
d. Raise the middle float and hold it up.
e. Raise the upper float to start the dialer and
release it.
f. Let the ent,ire \:Ipper al.lrm tape play until the
alarm stops.
g. Release the middle float and see if the lower
alarm tape plays ..gain.
h. Release the lower float. It isn't necessary to
wait for the tape to finish before leaving.
Leave the dialer cm line 9.
1. After the semiannual test:, contact the people on
the alarm c:all list and make sure they got the
messages.

6.4 winterization
6.4.1 When - November.

6.4.2 Tasks
1. Remove battery from al.lrm dialer.
2. Remove tape from alarm dialer (carefully).
3. Remove alarms electronic components and take them
back to Crook or cover the alarm inside the shelter
with tarp material.
