.(

I

Mr. John Henry Van Dis
August 21, 1973
Page Two

to the north. Following the trail will mInImIze the necessity
of clearing a new alignment, however, the trail should be cut
and widened where necessary to provide access for the inter-
ceptor ditch. One interceptor ditch diversion structure
should be installed in the draw, downstream of the 36" CMP.
This ditch should outfall.to Carbonate Creek through the swale
downstream of the 48" CMP located south of the ski lift.

At the Carbonate Creek outfall, the creek side slope
should be stabilized from additional scour and erosion which
will persist at this point. Preliminary improvements should
consist of well placed, large riprap which should be placed
directly below the ditch outfall. Later improvements, if
necessary, will include stepped, cribbed structures to stabi-
lize the creek side slope.

We hope this information provides you with the
material you need to begin construction of these necessary
facilities. Should problems arise while implementing these
plans, please call.

Very truly yours,

LAM./gb
Enc.

FRAS & GINGERY, INC.
/'/

-~V'- yd.
