Sample field order. <br /> <br />The project sponsor will also make the following distribution of plans and specifications: <br />three sets to the prime contractor, one set to each subcontractor, and one set to the <br />resident inspector. <br /> <br />5.2.4 Notice to Proceed <br /> <br />Only after each of the above-listed items has been accomplished will the sponsor issue <br />to the prime contractor a "notice to proceed" letter authorizing the start of construction. <br />Copies of the "notice to proceed" must be furnished to the CWCB staff and to the <br />resident inspector. If an award of contract is made to more than one contractor, a <br />separate letter should be sent to each. (It is the responsibility of the project sponsor to <br />assure that necessary land purchases, easements, and water rights are acquired prior to <br />the issuance of a "notice to proceed" to the contractor.) <br /> <br />5.2.5 Pre-Construction Conference <br /> <br />Prior to the start of construction, the project sponsor or the engineer will arrange a <br />pre-construction conference with the CWCB staff representative for the project, the <br />resident inspector and the prime contractor. The purposes of the pre-construction <br />conference are to discuss the work to be done and to review the CWCB construction <br />administration and payment procedures as outlined in the next section of this Chapter. <br />A recommended checklist for pre-construction conferences is located in Appendix F of <br />these Guidelines. <br /> <br />30 <br />
