<br />5.2.6 Additional Work <br /> <br />If the sponsor plans to add work that is in addition to the approved Colorado Water <br />Conservation Board project, the following will apply: <br /> <br />a. The advertisement for bids, all bid documents and contract document~ shall clearl y <br />define and separate the CWCB portion of the work from the non.eWCR portion. <br /> <br />b. The project sponsor may offer for bid and award work in addition to the CWCR <br />portion provided the sponsor understands that the Board will participate only in <br />that portion of the work which it has Oliginally approved and that the additional <br />work may not adversely affect the original work as approved by the Board. <br /> <br />5.3 Construction Administration <br /> <br />5.3.1 Construction Schedule <br /> <br />A project construction schedule must be submitted by the prime contractor to the CWCR <br />staff for review and concurrence prior to the submittal of any payment requests. <br /> <br />5.3.2 Resident Inspector <br /> <br />Projects funded by the CWCB may require the full-time presence of at least one resident <br />inspector during construction. A resume of the qualifications and experience of the <br />proposed construction inspector(s) must be submitted to the CWCB for approval prior to <br />the start of construction. <br /> <br />The inspector(s) will normally be employed by the consulting engineer and will have the <br />following duties: <br /> <br />a. Assure that the owner's interests are safeguarded. <br /> <br />b. Oversee the work of the contractor so that construction is executed in acccrdance <br />with the project plans and specifications. <br /> <br />c. Attend project meetings as required. <br /> <br />d. Prepare daily inspection report~ on the progress of the work plus any other <br />pertinent events regarding the project. <br /> <br />e. Assist, as necessary, in the preparation of construction pay estimates and change <br />orders. <br /> <br />f. Assure that all changes during construction are recorded on a set of drawings. <br /> <br />31 <br />
