can be collected into this 30" line from the Tract II area either

by street flows or by open ditches and conveyed across Detroit

Street into the proposed pond. The storage capacity required

for the Tract II pond is 6.3 acre feet. An 18" outlet structure

is proposed from the pond emptying into an open ditch running

north along the east side of Detroit Street. The open ditch

will connect to the 36" outfall from the Legion Pond and

Pheasant Ridge Areas, and be conveyed across the Sie1

Development south of 8th Avenue. This pond is provided

to drain the genera110w areas west of Detroit Street. Cost

estimates are provided in the financial section of this report

for these improvements.

8. SIEL DEVELOPMENT AREA (AREA NO.8)

Since there are no streets proposed within the development area,

individual lot drainage can be provided in the open ditch as

proposed north along Detroit Street and some improvements

to the existing ditch flowing east, south of 8th Avenue. Pro-

visions are made in the financial section, cost estimates for

improvements to the existing ditch crossing and the extensiop

of the open ditch flowing east. This area can also be provided

as an attractive addition to the Yuma Area, or minor green

belt area.
