LEGION POND AREA (AREA NO.6)

The present Legion Pond, as is, is adequate to handle the

anticipated design storm runoff. An 18" outlet structure

is proposed to drain the Legion Pond to run generally

south to 9th Avenue and connect to the Pheasant Ridge

drain, with both drains emptying into a 36" stornl sewer

constructed east on 9th Avenue across south Detroit

Street. The 36" line is necessary due to the flatness

of slope along 9th Avenue. The 36" line will also relieve

ponding which is evident between Albany and Main Street

on 9th Avenue, and also ponding areas west of Detroit

Street. Catch basins and manholes will be provided

on the 36" line to relieve some of the street flows within

the area. . Cost estimates are provided in the financial

section of this report for these improvements.

7. TRACT II AREA (AREA NO.7)

It is proposed to construct a detention storage pond at the

east side of the Tract II imporvement area on either side

of south Detroit Street at the intersection of west 13th Avenue

extended generally. For purposes of this report and for

preliminary cost estimates, we have selected the east side

of Detroit Street and emptying into the pond.
