<br />Section 712~- Rancho Palos Verdes, CA <br /> <br />Authorizes a feasibility study for constructing shoreline erosion <br />mitigation measures along the Rancho Palos Verdes coastline and in the city of <br />Rolling Hills, CA, in order to provide additional stabilization for the <br />Portuguese Bend landsl ide area. <br /> <br />Section 713. Louisiana Shoreline Erosion Study <br /> <br />Authorizes a seashore sediment inventory to determine availability of <br />suitable sediment in waters of Louisiana between Southwest Pass and Sabine Pass <br />and in Lake Pontchartrain. The purpose of the inventory is to determine the <br />feasibility of specific measures to diminish: <br /> <br />1. Shoreline erosion <br />2. Marsh deterioration <br />3. Hurricane vulnerab ility <br />4. Barrier island destruction <br /> <br />Section 714. Land Acquisition Policy Study <br /> <br />Authorizes the study of land acquisition policies applicable to water <br />resources projects. <br /> <br />Section 715. Columbia River/Arkansas River Basin Tr'ansfers <br /> <br />A. Directs that no Federal study with the objective of transferring <br />water from the Columbia River Basin may be conducted unless <br />approved by the Governors of all affected states. <br /> <br />B. Directs that, for a period of five years after enactment, no Federal <br />study with the objective of trans ferring water fran the Arkansas River <br />Basin may be conducted unless approved by the Governors of all affected <br />states. <br /> <br />Section 716. Black Warrior - Tombigbee River <br /> <br />Authorizes a feasibility study of protection from erosion problems on the <br />southern bank of the Black Warrior - Tombigbee River. <br /> <br />Section 717. Stormwater Runoff Control Study <br /> <br />Authorizes a study of the feasibility of developing measures to control <br />storm water runoff on a watershed basis. <br /> <br />Section 718. Boundary Delineation and Fencing Practices <br /> <br />Authorizes a study to: <br /> <br />1. Analyze the differences among Corps districts and divisions <br />regarding boundary delineation and fencing practices <br /> <br />19 <br />
