<br />Flooding <br /> <br />Flooding Above River Channel Capacity. - When mandatory releases at <br />Horsetooth Dams may exceed canal capacity, the Project Manager will <br />notify the Larimer, Weld, and Morgan County Sheriffs. <br /> <br />Outlet Works Capacity Flood. - The Project Manager will telephone <br />the Larimer, Weld, and Morgan County Sheriffs of the need for evac- <br />uating people from the flood plain. The Project Manager will <br />notify them of changes in flood control releases that may signifi- <br />c antly affect downstream areas. <br /> <br />Possible Dam Failure. - The Project Manager will telephone the <br />Larimer, Weld, and Morgan County Sheriffs as soon as the situation <br />has been identified. The Project Manager wi 11 inform them of the <br />seriousness of the situation and provide pertinent information to <br />assist them in their evacuation plan. <br /> <br />Sudden Dam Failure. - The dam operator, onsite operator, or observer <br />will telephone the Larimer, Weld, and Morgan County Sheriffs and <br />inform them of the immediate danger. . <br /> <br />A 11 efforts and ass i stance wi 11 be provi ded by project offi ce per- <br />sonnel to coordinate efforts with the Larimer, Weld, and Morgan <br />County Sheriffs in alerting all downstr.eam areas. <br /> <br />Earthquakes <br /> <br />If dam failure is possible as a result of an earthquake, and all <br />communications between the dam operator and projects office is lost, <br />the dam operator will initiate actions necessary to notify the <br />Larimer, Weld, and Morgan County Sheriffs. <br /> <br />Fires <br /> <br />Bureau or Conservancy Di str i ct personnel wi 11 contact the Poudre <br />Valley Fire Protection District personnel or the Fort Collins Fire <br />Department to extinguish any fire that occurs on, near, or in any of <br />the outlet work features. <br /> <br />Demonstrations <br /> <br />The Project Manager will telephone the Larimer County Sheriff. <br /> <br />Bomb Threats or Sabotage <br /> <br />The Project Manager will telephone the Larimer County Sheriff and <br />the Federal Bureau of Investigation. <br /> <br />5 <br />
