<br />construct the specified pipe joint; removal of asphalt or sod or other sur- <br />facing materials; excavation including exploratory excav'ationj constructing <br />the specified bedding; backfilli.ng, :lncludin9 t:he furnishing of any additional <br />sui table backfill material that may be required; method of backfill and com- <br />paction as specified; restoration of ground surface to its original condition, <br />including the removal and replacement of treā¬!s and bushes less than six inches <br />in diameter; trench supporting; trench dewatering; care and w.version of <br />drainage courses; protection and adjusting of aboveground and underground <br />utilities and service connections; reconnecti_ng existing' service connections; <br />lateral connections of either new or existing pipe to new pipe; disposal of <br />debris or excess excavated material, and damaged materials; traffic control <br />including barricades, detours, and flagmen; removal and disposing of debris <br />prior to excavation; testing and inspection; removal and disposal of pavement <br />or other roadway surfacing, includinq, where required, concrete sawing or <br />otherwise effectively cutting any existing concrete pavement smoothly and <br />squarely in a manner satisfactory to the Engineer; temporary pumping facili- <br />ties or other facilities necessary for the temporary diversion of flows; tem- <br />porary water control measures; and all other related and necessary materials, <br />work, and equipment required to-- const:ruct operable pipeline in accordance with <br />the Drawings and Specifications. <br /> <br />Item No. 800 INSTALL 12-INCH PVC PIPE. The measurement for payment for <br />each specific size or type of pipe, E~xcept seqments as may be otherwise pro- <br />vided for in the Proposal, will be the aGtual number of linear feet of pipe <br />installed, complete in place, me.asured along 1:he centerline of the pipe. <br /> <br />The unit price bid per linear foot fc)r the construction of each section of the <br />pipeline shall include all of the Contractor's costs of whatsoever nature for <br />the complete construction of the pipeline, appurtenances, or items otherwise <br />provided for elsewhere in the Proposal. The price bid shall include: <br />furnishing, transporting, and installing all pipe and materials; joints and <br />jointing materials including grout, mortar, a.-rings, gaskets, end plugs or <br />caps, and other miscellaneous items as required to construct the specified <br />pipe; removal of asphalt or sod or ot:her surfacing materials; excavation <br />including exploratory excavation.; constructin9 the specified bedding; back- <br />filling, including the furnishing of any additional suitable backfill material <br />that may be required; method of backfill and compaction as specified; restora- <br />tion of ground surface to its original condition, including the removal and <br />replacement of trees and bushes less than six inches in diameter; trench sup- <br />porting; trench dewatering; care and diversion of drainage courses; protection <br />and adjusting of aboveground and underground utili"ties and service connec- <br />tions; disposal of debris or excess excavated material, and damaged materials; <br />traffic control including barricades, de1:ours, and flagmen; removal and <br />disposing of debris prior to excavation; testing and inspection; removal and <br />disposal of pavement or other roadway surfacing, including, where required, <br />concrete sawing or otherwise effectively cutting any existing concrete pave- <br />ment smoothly and squarely in a manner satisfactory to the Engineer; and all <br />other related and necessary materials, work, and equipment required to <br />construct the pipe in accordance with the Drawings and Specifications. <br /> <br />Item No. 900 110BILIZATION AND PROVISION.
