The measurement: of payment of this item will <br />be the total number of linear feet of pipe requi.red to be remo'led, for <br />construction of the proposed sewer, measured along' the centerline of t:he pipe <br />removed. <br /> <br />The unit price bid per linear foot of removal shall include all of the <br />Contractor's costs of whatsoever nature for removing the pipe.. The price bid <br />shall include: excavation, including explor.::l"tor:y excava.tion; removal of <br />asphalt, sod, and other surfacing rna"terialsi removing the exis1:ing condui tSi <br />cutting and plugging existing sewer lines where required; backfilling, except <br />for classified backfill material; me.thod of backfill and compaction as speci- <br />fied; trench support; trench dewatering; prot;ect.ion of E!xisting utilities; <br />temporary pumping facilities; modification of existing appurtenances; disposal <br />of debris; excess excavated matHrial:3, and damaged items; and all other <br />related and necessary materialsj. work, and equipment required to remove the <br />existing sewer in accordance wi1:h the Drawin~rs and Specifications. <br /> <br />Item No, 702 DROP MANHOLES STNrION 1+78 and STATION 4+02. The measure- <br />- - <br />ment for payment for the construction of the s1:andard manholes with the <br />specified diameter barrel and s1:andard precas"t cone sect,ions \.,:Lll be the indi- <br />vidual structure, complete in place. <br /> <br />The unit price bid per manhole structure shall i.nclude 0.11 of the Cont:ractor's <br />costs of whatsoever nature. ThE~ price bid shall include:: removal of existing <br />manhole; furnishing, transporting, and installing the materials; excavation, <br />sheeting and/or bracing; concre1:e; reinforcement.; precas.t manhole sect:ions and <br />cones; brick, mortar, plastic joint sealant and grout; manhole steps; ring and <br />cover; construction and shaping of the base i.nvert including all pipe incor- <br />porated within the manhole; cutting and plug,r.ing existing sewer lines where <br />required; removal of all pavement, base course, and subbase ma1:erial; sod and <br />other surfacing material requirHd for construction of the manhole; backfilling <br />and compacting; and all other rEdated and nec:essary mate:rials, _work, and <br />equipment required to construct the manholes complete in accordance with the <br />Drawings and Specifications. <br /> <br />Item 703 a-INCH PVC PIPE. The measurement. for payment for each speci- <br />fic size and type of pipe will be the actual number of linear feet of sewer <br />pipe installed, complete in place, measured along the ce,nterline of the pipe <br />from inside face of manhole to inside face of manhole, from inside face of <br />manhole to given station, from qiven station to given st.ation along the cen- <br />terline of the pipe, or from center of manhole to center of manhole with <br />deductions made for the internal diameter or dimensions of manholes or <br />structure. <br /> <br />The unit price bid per linear foot for the construction of each section of the <br />pipeline shall include all of the Contractor I s costs of whatsoever nat~ure for <br />the complete construction of thE~ pipeline, exclusion of manholes, appurte- <br />nances, or items otherwise provided :for elsewhere in the: Drawings and/or <br />Specifications, The price bid shall include: furnishing, transporting, and <br />installing all pipe and materials; joints and :jointing materials includ.ing <br />grout, mortar, a-rings, wyes, tE~es, gasket.s, concrete collars (if required), <br />concrete closure joints, and other miscellanE!ous items aLS required to <br />
