PURPOSE OF PROGRAM - . <br />This program was developed to compute the discharge for ogee-type weirs with <br />partial tainter gate openings. Precise ratings can be obtained in a conven- <br />ien,t table form for use in reservoir regulation sections or a limited volume <br />of output can be obtained that is useful during the planning and design <br />stages of a project. Partial gate opening ratings can be determined for <br />any planned or existing ogee-spillwa;y having radial-type gates. <br /> <br />B. PROGRAM SPECIFICATIONS <br /> <br />Written in FORTRAN II and FORTRAN IV. <br /> <br />C. MET HODS <br /> <br />In general, the computational procedure shown on WEB Hydraulic Design <br />Charts 311-1 to 311-5 is followed with the primary difference being in <br />the determination of Go (effective gate opening). <br /> <br />D. EQUIPMENT DET AILS <br /> <br />This program was prepared for use in the IBM 1620 (FORTL,,'r II) and <br />IBM 7090 (FORTRAN IV) classes. <br /> <br />E. INPUT- OUTPUT <br />Card input and output for FORTRAN II version. Card input-printer output <br />for FORTRAN IV version. <br /> <br />F.
