Op.
A, PURPOSE OF PROGRAM
The main purpose of this program is to compute a spillway rating curve for
a concrete ogee spillway with verticaJ. walls for an assumed design head,
then make a flood routing of the spillway design flood to determine the
maximum water surface. The rating can also be for a broad-crested weir
and can also include the discharge from a conduit or sluice. The routing
can be for a gated or uncontrolled spillway.
B. PROGRAM SPECIP'ICATIONS
The program uses Fortran II.
c. MET HODS
Rating curves for spillway based on \-IES Hydraulic Design Criteria.
Rating curves for conduits based on Q = CA.J 2f!Jl/K
Reservoir routing for uncontrolled spillway by modified puls.
Reservoir routing for gated spillway by emergency release diagram
discussed in EM lllO-2-3600.
D, EQUIPMENT DET AILS
IBM 1620 40 K version is available requiring 2 source decks. High-apeed
version requires a GE 225, 8 K or larger.
E, INPUT - OUTPUT
Input is by cards.
Output is by cards for IBM 1620 version and by on-line printer for
high-speed version.
F, ADDITIONAL REMARKS
This program was developed from the Tulsa District program 22-Gl-G512
written in WIZ for the GE 225. Several additional features have been
added since converting to Fortran II.

EMG FORM
t AUG 60

2883

(BM 11'10-1-1110)

PREVIOUS EDITIONS ARE OBSOLETE.

11
