I

I
I
I
I

SECTION B - WORK PROGRAM

I
I
I
I
I

The work program outlined below is based on the scope of work as outlined

in the State of Colorado invitation GB-RFP-20 dated July 19, 1979. The follow-

ing services, which shall meet the project objectives, will be provided by

WRC during the study period.

1. Meet with the representative of the Colorado Water Conservation Board,

Boulder County, Weld Cou~ty, the Town of Erie, and other private or

public agencies for basic information and data gathering.

2. Review existing information and data related to the study reach and
conduct the necessary field surveys.

I

3. Determine the impact of the year 2000 basin development conditions

on the peak flows previously determined by the Soil Conservation Ser-

vice. If necessary, adjust the peak flow values at selected points

along the study reach.

I

4. Conduct a hydraulic routing using the flows determined in Item I above.
Basic data needed for this routing will be secured from existing infor-
mation and will be supplemented by the consultant, if needed, through
actual field surveys.

I

I

5. Conduct a detailed hydraulic analysis of the existing hydraulic struc-

tures and make specific recommendations related to the hydraulic design

of the county bridges and channel improvements.

I

I
I
I

6. Delineate the 100-year floodplain for the study reach and define the
f100dway limits. The determination of the 100-year f100dway will be
performed according to a criteria approved by the respective parties

I

-2-
