<br />employer~ in this category included Kodak Colorado, Hewlett.Packard, Woodward
<br />Governor, Teledyne Water Pik, Annheuser Busch, and the National Cash Register
<br />Corporation. The construction il1dustry employed nearly 10 percent, which reflects
<br />the continued rapid development of the area. Also, the county has been an
<br />important tourist area.

<br />Economic activity forecasts for the Fort Collins-Loveland metropolitan statistic.a.l
<br />area (MSA) have been prepared by the U.S. Department of Commerce Bureau of
<br />Economic Analysis (BEA) in 1985. The MSA consists of Larimer County, and the
<br />forecasts are aggregated on a county-wide basis. These forecasts predict continued
<br />strong economic groYr1h in the area through 2000. Nonfarm income will be the
<br />dominant part of the economy, with major groYr1h forecast for manufacturing and
<br />service industries. State and loca1 government employment, which would include
<br />Colorado State University (CSU), is also e~pected 10 e~perience significant sroYr1h.
