Prepare a Phase 8 report to restate the decision reached in
Phase A and to report all calculations, studies and results
used to consummate the analysis. The report is to consist
of two volumes; one containing the narrative description and
the other consisting of plan and profile drawings reduced to
11" x 18".
C. Selected Alternative
The recommended plan of the Phase A analysis was the Modified Plan
E for the Hidden Lake Basin and Plan B for the Bates Lake Basin. These
plans were reviewed by U.D. & F.C.D., Adams County and Arvada and
accepted for Phase B preliminary design. During the design phase,
the required easement for the open channel proposed for the reach
from 64th Avenue to the Crestview pond would not allow sufficient
setback for the houses along Lowell Boulevard. In addition, the
required length of revet mattress lined channel from Hidden Lake to
64th Avenue was reduced, since a grass lined channel was found to
be sufficient. Therefore, Modified Plan E was revised to include a
shorter length of revet mattress lined channel and the additional
length of 90" RCP. A schematic of the plan used for Phase B is
presented in Figure I-I and a reach-by-reach description is presented
herein:
1. Modified Plan E - Hidden Lake Planning Basin
Improvement to Hidden Lake, no upstream improvements but use of
floodplain zoning and regulation, downstream channel improvements,
utilization of Lake Sangraco for storm water detention.
