<br />. <br /> <br />WHEREAS, said new report provides approximate floodplain information which is also <br />contained in the undesignated report dated April 17, 1989 for the reach of the South Platte River <br />from the corporate limit of the City of Englewood at a point 1500 feet downstream of Dartmouth <br />Avenue, as it was an March 14, 1991, upstream to Dartmouth Avenue which is consistent with the <br />detailed floodplain informatian previausly designated and approved by Resolution Na. 251 and no <br />Colorado Water Conservatian Board re-designation and re-approval is required; liIld <br /> <br />WHEREAS, said new report provides detailed floodplain information which is also contained <br />in the undesignated rep.ort dated April 17, 1989 far the reach .of the S.outh Platte River from <br />Dartmouth Avenue upstream ta the corporate limit of the City of Englewaod 400 feet downstream <br />of Hamilton Place, as it was .on March 14, 1991, which is consistent with the detailed flo.odplain <br />information previously designated and appraved by Resolution No. 251 and no Colorado Water <br />Conservatian Board re-designation and re-approval is required; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, said new rep.ort provides, on the basis .of revised top.ographic mapping and revised <br />hydrologic and hydraulic analyses that reflect the construction by the U.S. Army Corps .of Engineers, <br />Omaha District, of the South Platte Channelization Praject, approximate floodplain informatian that <br />revises the information contained in those p.ortions of the fl.oodplain rep.ort previously designated by <br />Resolution No.1 relating to the reach .of the South Platte River from Union Avenue upstream to the <br />corporate limit of the City of Englew.ood that is 1500 feet upstream of Unian Avenue, as it was on <br />March 14, 1991; and <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City.of Englewo.od, C.olora.do, has requested the C.ol.orado Water C.onservati.on <br />Board to designate and approve the floodplains set forth in the aforesaid new report; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, Section 37-60-106(1)( c), Colorado Revised Statutes, requires the Colorado Water <br />Conservation B.oard to assist in the prevention of floods and flood damages therefrom; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, Sections 31-23-301 and 30-28-111, Colorado Revised Statutes, provide that <br />legislative badies of local jurisdictions may provide zoning regulations for land uses on .or along any <br />storm or floodwater run.off channel or basin only after designati.on and approval by the Colorad.o <br />Water C.onservation Board; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, Section 37-60-106(I)(c), Colorado Revised Statutes, directs the Colorado Water <br />Conservation to designate and approve storm or fl.oodwater runoff channels or basins and to make <br />such designati.ons available to legislative b.odies of local jurisdictions; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the detailed information in said new report relating to the reach of tittle Dry <br />Creek from its confluence with the South Platte River upstream to Logan Street meets all of the <br />requirements for detailed information listed under the Baard's "Rules and Regulations for the <br />Designati.on and Approval of Flo.odplains and of Storm or Floodwater Runoff Channels in Col.orado" <br />(2 CCR 408-1); and <br /> <br />e <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the approximate information in said new report relating ta the reach of tittle Dry <br />Creek from Logan Street upstream to Clarkson Street and the reach of the Sauth Platte River fr.om <br />Uni.on Avenue upstream t.o a paint 1500 feet upstream of Union Avenue meets all of the <br />requirements for approximate inf.ormati.on listed under the Board's "Rules and Regulati.ons for the <br /> <br />3 <br />
