<br />WHEREAS, the Colorado Water Conservation Board, as requested by the City and County ,'. <br />of Denver and the Urban Drainage and Flood Control District, by Resolution No. 251, adopted on .. <br />March 14, 1986, approved and designated the floodplains described in said report dated September <br />1985; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, by Resolution No. 251, adopted on March 14, 1986, the Colorado Water <br />Conservation Board rescinded that portion of Resolution No. 1 relating to the South Platte River <br />downstream of Oxford Avenue; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, a new report entitled "Flood Insurance Study, Arapahoe County, Colorado, and <br />Incorporated Areas", dated April 17, 1989, has been prepared by the Federal Emergency <br />Management Agency; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the portion of said report dated April 17, 1989 that describes floodplains within <br />the corporate limits of the City of Englewood, as they were on April 17, 1989, has not been approved <br />and designated by the Colorado Water Conservlltion Board; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, a new report entitled "Flood Insurance Study, Arapahoe County, Colorado, and <br />Incorporated Areas", revised March 14, 1991, has been prepared by the Federal Emergency <br />Management Agency; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, said new report includes detailed floodplain information for Big Dry Creek, Little . <br />Dry Creek and the South Platte River within the corporate limits of the City of Englewood, as they',.. <br />were on March 14, 1991; and .. <br /> <br />WHEREAS, said new report includes approximate floodplain information for Little Dry Creek <br />and the South Platte River within the corporate limits of the City of Englewood, as they were on <br />March 14, 1991; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, said new report provides detailed floodplain information which is also contained <br />in the undesignated report dated April I?, 1989 for Big Dry Creek within the corporate limits of the <br />City of Englewood, as they were on March 14, 1991, which is inconsistent with the detailed floodplain <br />information previously designated and approved by Resolution No. 45 and a Colorado Water <br />Conservation Board designation and approval is not appropriate at this time; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, said new report dated March 14, 1991 provides, on the basis of completed flood <br />control works and revised hydrologic and hydraulic analyses that were approved by the Federal <br />Emergency Management Agency, detailed floodplain information for the reach of Little Dry Creek <br />from its confluence with the South Platte River upstream to Logan Street that revises detailed <br />floodplain information previously designated and approved by Resolution No. 31; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, said new report provides, oIl. the basis of completed flood control works and <br />revised hydrologic and hydraulic analyses that were approved by the Federal Emergency Management <br />Agency, approximate floodplain information for the reach of Little Dry Creek from Logan Street <br />upstream to the corporate limit of the City of Englewood at Clarkson Street, as it was on March 14, A <br />1991, that revises detailed floodplain information previously designated and approved by Resolution . . <br />No. 31; and <br /> <br />2 <br />
