Suggestions <br />should cover both the fadlitation of the process and <br />the process itself. The goal is to develop a process that <br />is locally supporrd, fast, efficient, effective; integrated, <br />holistic, and comprehensive, <br /> <br />WORKSHOP FOLLOWUP <br />Plan elements drafted into professional document to solicit <br />additional funds needed to pursue plan implementation. <br />arid to facilitate fut~re planning efforts. <br />. NinEs: Services of a professional editor and docu- <br />ment design ,!nd layout firm will be used to develop <br />three publications, Two publications (the plan itself <br />and one whichdescribes the process followed) will be <br />. about 50 pages etUh with plenty of illustrations and <br />white space to make them accessible to the broadest <br />" <br />possible audience. The third publication will be a <br />technical appendix to the plan. The technical appen- <br />dix will be edited for grammar and spelling only. It <br />will not receive design and layout attention and will <br />be published in a much smaller quantity than the <br />other two publications. Credit will be provided for <br />each participant and participating agency in the <br />publications. In addition to the publications, the <br />workshop will be documented in a video tape. Historic Resources Program; The Nature Conservancy <br />programs of assistance; Trust for Public Land assistance <br />programs; Migratory Bird Program; corporate and . <br />foundation grants, etc. <br /> <br />- <br />GENERAL NOTES <br />The workshop will be held in a public 'school in <br />Parker (population approximately 1,000), South <br />Dakota, which is about a 45-minute drive from our <br />Sioux Falls motel rooms. A cafe in Parker will cater <br />our breaks, lunches, and Wednesday night dinner. <br />I will. make sure that vegetarian meals are made <br />available to those who request them in advance <br />and will try to assure that a variety of meals is <br />available. I will be discussing potential menus with <br />the cafe on May 24 and should be able to accept <br />suggestions May 31 or June 1. <br />,'Facilitators and recorders will also be respon- <br />sible for recording informal statements (and who <br />said them) for use as testimonials in the plan and <br />process documents. <br /> <br />By COB Wednesday, June 1, I will need to know which <br />of you are definitely willing and able to commit your <br />time to this workshop. Then by COB Friday, June 3, <br />I will let each of you know if you area facilitator, <br />recorder, or standby. <br /> <br />. <br />
