<br />Apri115,1992 <br /> <br />ColoradoDamageAssessmentHandbook <br /> <br />The categories of damage to be assessed <br />are: <br />A - Debris Clearance <br />B - Emergency Protective Measures <br />C - Roads & Bridges <br />D - Water Control Facilities <br />E - Public Buildings &Equipment <br />F - Utilities <br />G - Recreation & Other <br /> <br />Private Damage Teams <br /> <br />The private PDA damage assessment <br />teams will inspect damage to: <br /> <br />. Homes, businesses, farms, and per- <br />sonal property <br /> <br />Assessment teams will include appropriate <br />federal, state, and local government or <br />private non-profit agency representatives <br />for each impacted category of assessment. <br />The appropriate federal or state agency <br />will provide the team leaders. <br /> <br />Each team will complete the assessment <br />for their assigned areas completing either <br />the Preliminary Damage Assessment <br />Forms (FEMA 90-80 or 90-81) or Damage <br />Survey Forms (DSR) FEMA form 90-91 or <br />forms specified during the PDA meeting <br />(see Appendicies B & C). All major sites <br />and a representative sampling of minor <br />sites will be surveyed. Teams will maintain <br />telephone contact with a team coordinator <br />to provide regular reports on the damage <br />estimates. The team coordinator will main- <br />tain contact with the Damage Assessment <br />Coordinator for . periodic briefings on <br />damage estimates as they are reported. <br /> <br />When each team completes it~ work, they <br />will return to a designated location to pro- <br />vide written assessments to the individual <br /> <br />team coordinator and Damage Assessment <br />Coordinator. <br /> <br />Detailed Damage <br />Assessment Report <br /> <br />Additional detailed information, beyond <br />the information already covered in the Ini- <br />iliIL..Dama~e Assessment R~Jlort, may be <br />required in order to justify state and <br /> <br /> <br />Figure 8 . Damage Assesment Report <br /> <br />federal relief and recovery assistance. This <br />information includes both categories: <br />Physical Damage Assessment, and Socio- <br />Economic Impact Assessment. <br /> <br />To standardize the type of information <br />nt~eded and the method of reporting such <br />information, specific forms have been <br />dt~veloped.
