The damage assessment forms for <br />these categories are found in Appendix B. <br /> <br />Private Damage <br /> <br />Private damage consists of damage to <br />private residences, business and agricul- <br />ture. The responsibility for conducting <br />damage assessment to residences and busi- <br />nesses rests with local government and in <br />some cases the American Red Cross <br />(ARC). The responsibility for performing <br />damage assessment on agricultural losses <br />rests with the USDA County Emergency <br />Board. Member agencies are.: Chairman, <br />Agriculture Stabilization and Conservation <br />Service; Soil Conservation Service, <br />Farmers Home Administration, and the <br /> <br />County Extension Service. The Chairman <br />of the County Commission, and/or the <br />Tribal Chairman and the County Emergen- <br />cy and Disaster Service Coordinator will <br />be consulted when agricultural assessments <br />are conducted. <br /> <br />Preliminary Damage <br />Assessment (PDA) Teams <br /> <br />Public Damage Teams <br /> <br />The public damage assessment teams will <br />inspect damage to and estimate impact on: <br /> <br />Public Facilities <br /> <br />Private Nonprofit Facilities <br /> <br />Eight <br />
