I
I
I
I
I
I
I
I
I
I
I
I
I
I
I.
I
I

II
I

/

12-7-92

Mr. Mayor and City Council
Town of San Luis

Dear Mr. Mayor and Council Members:

I am writing this letter to inform you of our concern with
the new drainage ditch and some of the problems we have
encountered that seem to be directly correlated to this
ditch.

We seem to have more sub water than we have had in the past.
the ground shift is very noticable, large humps seem to
emerge throughout the yard creating a very uneven surface,
our home is a double wide modular home and it is always
shifting. My In-Laws home has many problems that are very
visible. The deck on the south side of the house appears to
be trying to stand on end rather than flat as it should be.
As the winter progresses the deck develops a steeper angle.

I am no expert by any means, but it seems to me that we have
more problems now than we did before. What is the
possiblilty of building the ditch so that it intersects the
Culebra Creek and bypasses the entire town?

Sincerely yours,

),:~ Vll~

Mike Maldonado
