Your sources are the description <br />provided by the local official during the visit and your <br />own observations during the meeting, ordinance and <br />permit file review, The checklist at Part 7 B(1-6) <br />provides an outline for your description, and your notes <br />from page 12 of the CRF provide the substance. Be sure <br />to address each of the four types of development covered <br />in Part 7B (buildings,'development other than buildings, <br />subdivisions and capital improvements), as well as <br />variances, elevation certifications and floodway <br />encroachment. Attach any forms, checklists or other <br />documents used in the local development review process <br />if they will assist the reader in understanding how it <br />works. <br /> <br />4. Ordinance Review: Your goal in this part of the <br />report is to describe any problems with the community's <br />ordinances. Use your ordinance review sheet and notes <br />from the checklist at Part 7C, Also list any <br />deficiencies under the Summary of Issues (Part IX of the <br />Report). <br /> <br />S. Map Availability and Accuracy: Your goal in this <br />part of the Report is to describe local officials' use <br />of the maps and their perceptions of map accuracyo You <br />should also add your own findings from the field tour <br />and other observations during the CAPE about map <br />accuracyo Your sources for this information are your <br />notes from the floodplain tour and local official's <br />meeting (pps. 4, 6, 7, 12 and l3 of the CRF)o <br /> <br />(a) Map Availability Checklist - Describe your <br />findings from items 1-3 of the checklist at <br />Part 7 D of the CRF. Did local officials have our <br />maps? Were they readily accessible? Had our data <br />been transferred or overlayed onto larger scale <br />maps, or local zoning and land use maps? Were the <br />maps available to the pUblic? Were other maps or <br />studies being used? HOW did they compare with our <br />study? Should an XDS or map revision be <br />investigated? How familiar with the maps and study <br />were local officials? Did they appear competent in <br />using them (making boundary and elevation <br />determinations, reading profiles, etco)? <br /> <br />(b) Map Accuracy Checklist - Describe your <br />findings from items 4-8 of the checklist at <br />Part 7 D of the CRF.
