If none have been submitted, <br />the local contact may have records or estimates, <br /> <br />Numbers 18 and 19 - Dates for past CAPEs and Technical <br />Assistance visits can be found in the community docket <br />files. <br /> <br />Number 20 - Information on current maps is available <br />from the Community Status List and on microfische (see <br />numbers 5-9, above), but the docket file may be more <br />accurate. <br /> <br />Number 21 - The local contact is the most accurate <br />source for information on the most recent floodplain <br />ordinance. A second source is the docket file. <br /> <br />J, Identify and Interview Selected Contacts: Locate <br />Federal, State and other government staff involved in <br />floodplain management, wetlands protection, community <br />development, disaster assistance and related fields who may <br />be familiar with the selected community. Determine their <br />perceptions of local officials' attitudes toward floodplain <br />management and development. Ask them whether they have any <br />information about particular projects or problem areas that <br />you have identified during your preparations or others that <br />they may be familiar with. These contacts may be able to <br />suggest additional sources for this type of information. <br /> <br />K. Telephone Interviews and Meeting Arrangements Checklist: <br />You will use this checklist when you notify the local <br />contact, lenders and insurance agents of your . intent to meet <br />with them to discuss the NFIP, arrange a time and place for <br />the meetings, and gather additional background information on <br />issues and sites of interest. First, call your local contact <br />and go through Part 3A of the checklist on Page 5 of the CRF, <br />completing the following: <br /> <br />Number 1 - Record the name, title, address and phone <br />number of both the local contact and the Chief Executive <br />Officer (Mayor, County Commission Chairman, etc.). The <br />latter information will be necessary to address the <br />follow-up letter to the community. <br /> <br />Number 2 - Record the date, time and location of the <br />meeting. <br /> <br />Number 3 - Record the names and positions of any <br />local government staff expected to attend the meeting on <br />page 16 of the CRF.
