J, Identify and Interview Selected Contacts: Locate Federal, State and other government staff involved in floodplain management, wetlands protection, community development, disaster assistance and related fields who may be familiar with the selected community. Determine their perceptions of local officials' attitudes toward floodplain management and development. Ask them whether they have any information about particular projects or problem areas that you have identified during your preparations or others that they may be familiar with. These contacts may be able to suggest additional sources for this type of information. K. The latter information will be necessary to address the follow-up letter to the community. Number 2 - Record the date, time and location of the meeting.
