Review variances, 404 permit requests and other <br />development proposals, noting the reasons given for <br />their approval, and list appropriate sites on page 4 of <br />the CRF. <br /> <br />H. Review Ordinance: Make sure when arranging the visit <br />with your local contact that the ordinance on file is the <br />most recent legally-enforceable version. If new rules are <br />pending in the community, it may be necessary to review both. <br />Use the ordinance review sheet at Attachment C. Complete the <br />review sheet even if one has already been filled out and is <br />available in the community file, in order to familiarize <br />yourself with the community's regulations. <br /> <br />I. complete the Community Profile Checklist: This <br />checklist, included at Page 3 of the CRF, provides important <br />information that you will need in each subsequent phase of <br />the CAPE. This information shows the amount and type of <br />development exposed to flooding, flood history, specific <br />sites where flood losses have occurred, indications of <br />development pressure, milestones in the community's <br />participation in the NFIP, the reason why a CAPE is being <br />performed and the dates and types of maps and ordinances <br />currently in effect. Sources for this information are as <br />follows: <br /> <br />Numbers 1-3 - The community Name, County, State and NFIP <br />Identification Number are available from the Community <br />Status List. The NFIP Identification Number is also <br />listed on the community's study and maps. <br /> <br />Number 4 - The reason for selection is provided to the <br />reviewer upon assignment of the community, <br /> <br />Numbers 5-9 - This information is available on <br />microfische, entitled, "Areas Eligible for Flood <br />Insurance." <br /> <br />Number lO - Community population figures are available <br />from numerous sources. The most accessible is often the <br />Annual or Biennial Report Form. <br /> <br />Numbers 11-13 - Floodplain population and structure <br />counts are available on both the community's application <br />to participate in the NFIP and on the Annual or Biennial <br />Report Forms. <br /> <br />Number 14 - policies in force and amount of coverage are <br />available on microfische, entitled "In-Force Policies by <br />State and Community." <br /> <br />Number 15 - Number of claims is available on <br />microfische, (by community over a five-year period) <br />entitled, "policy Claims Payments by Year of payment and <br />Year of Flood." <br />
