Memorandum to Bill Stanton, Larry Lang
December 18, 1978
Page 2

general terms. Note that this analysis ~lill not result in mapping
showing the urban floodplain boundaries 1'01- either the initial or major
storm, and that stream generated street flow will be kept sepal-ate from
the urban surface generated runoff. Rout i ng of the vari ous bas i ns'
flows and management of interact i ng stream flow wi 11 be addressed in
the separate city drai nage study, at whi c:h time appropri ate management
measures, and thus routing procedure may bl! better assessed.

Thi s data is bei ng prepared at present, and wi 11 be forwal-ded
short ly.

23) A 5 year frequency Montrose Arro,~'o flow villue of 220 cfs will
be used.

26) Regarding Cedar Creek mapping in the reach from station 275+70
through 365+00, we have reviewed the wat,er surface data. We have made
some mi nor revi s ions to the 1'1 oodp 1 a in at several of the 1 ocat li ons
indicated in your "review cOflillents" in that reach; more particularly,
downstream of station 345+00; and the reach between stations 288+00 and
302+00. Please see attached.

Regarding the mapping format items discussed, inflows to the
streams will be indicated by a broken floodplain line and arrow where
significant. Crosshatching will be used to identify shallow flooding
(less than 2' depth), and, where shown with a dashed floodplain boun-
dary line, will identify hydraulically disconnected flow returning to
the st-ream. The blue dot pattern overla;y density will be selected so
as to maintain clarity of the mapping data presented.

___Af~2~~

Ivilliam B.
