<br />. <br /> <br />4.2.12 When Not Approved: The Contractor shall make any corrections <br />required by the Contracting Officer or his authorized representatives and <br />promptly furnish a corrected submi ttal in the .form and number of copies as <br />specified above. If the Contractor considers any correction indicated on the <br />submittals to constitute a change to the contract, notice as required under <br />the GENERAL PROVISIONS paragraph entitled "Changes" should promptly be given <br />to the Contracting Officer. <br /> <br />4.2.13 Withholding of Payment: Payment for materials incorporated into <br />the work will not be made if required approvals have not been obtained. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />5. PHYSICAL DATA: Pursuant to GENERAL. PROVISIONS Paragraphs entitled <br />"Conditions Affecting the Work" and "Site Investigation," information and <br />data furnished or referred to below are furnished for the Contractor's <br />information. However, it is expressly understood that the Government will <br />not be responsible for any interpretation or conclusion drawn therefrom by <br />the Contractor. <br /> <br />5.1 The Physical Conditions indicated on the drawings and in the <br />specifications are the result of site investigations by surveys and core <br />borings. The data shown graphically and by symbol for each respective boring <br />represents the actual geologic features observed and logged at the location <br />given on the drawings. While the borings are representative of subsurface <br />conditions at their respective locations and for their respective vertical <br />reaches, local minor variations characteristic of the subaurface materials of <br />this region are anticipated and if encountered, such variations will not be <br />considered as differing "materially" within the purview of GENERAL PROVISIONS <br />Paragraph entitled "Differing Site Conditions" of the contract. <br /> <br />5.2 Weather Conditions shall have <br />satisfy himself as to the hazards <br />weather records and reports may be <br />Weather Service. <br /> <br />been investigated by the Contractor to <br />likely to arise therefrom. The average releases from <br />Chatfield reservoir and the average flow past the Littleton Gauging Station <br />located by the Centennial Race Track are indicated on the attached chart. <br />The maximum design release from Chatf ield reservoir is 5,000 cfs. The flow <br />from a 1.0 percent occurrence flood flowing past Oxford Avenue is 18,000 cfs. <br />Actual flows during construction of this project will be subject to current <br />weather conditions. All work within the channel shall be coordinated with <br />expected flows from Chatfield reservoir. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />lA-7 <br />
