<br />Technical Reviewer <br /> <br />Abbreviations Used in Column <br />10 of Submittal Register <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />Engineering Division <br />U. S. Post Office & Courthouse <br />Omaha, Nebraska 68102 <br /> <br />"ED" <br /> <br />Each required submittal which is in the form of a drawing shall be submitted <br />as one (1) reproducible and one (1) print of the drawing. Drawing prints <br />shall be either blue or black line permanent-type prints on a white back- <br />ground or blueprint. Reproducibles shall be Brownline Diazo or Sepia and <br />shall be of such quality that prints made therefrom are sufficiently clear <br />for microfilm copying. All catalog and descriptive data shall be submitted <br />in seven (7) copies. Catalog cuts and other descriptive data which have more <br />than one model, size or type or which shows optional equipment shall be <br />clearly marked to show the model, size or type and all optional equipment <br />which is proposed for approval. Submittals on component items forming a <br />system or that are interrelated shall be submitted at one time as a single <br />submittal in order to demonstrate that the items have been properly <br />coordinated and will function as a unit. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />4.2.1.2 Category II: Except as noted below, data for all items listed as <br />Category II submittals in the various sections shall be submitted in four (4) <br />copies to the Area Engineer using the SUBMITTAL FORM. Items not to be <br />submitted in quadruplicate, such as samples and test cylinders, shall be <br />submitted to the Area Engineer accompanied by four (4) copies of the <br />SUBMITTAL FORM. <br /> <br />4.2.2 Control of Submittals: The Contractor shall carefully control his <br />procurement operations to assure that each individual submittal is made on or <br />before the corresponding date scheduled on his approved "SUBMITTAL REGISTER". <br /> <br />4.2.3 Submittal Fo.rm: The SUBMITTAL FORM at tached to this Section shall <br />be used for submitting both the Category I and Category II submittals, in <br />strict accordance with the instructions on the reverse side thereof. This <br />form shall be reproduced by the Contractor. The instructions on the back <br />need not be reproduced on the copies used by the Contractor in forwarding the <br />submittals. . This form shall be properly completed by filling out all the <br />heading blank spaces and identifying each item submitted. Special care shall <br />be exercised to insure proper listing of the specification paragraph and <br />sheet number of the contract drawings pertinent to the data submitted for <br />each item. A separate submittal form (MRO 1644) shall be attached to each <br />copy of the data being submitted. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />4.2.4 Approval Action: <br /> <br />4.2.4.1 Category I: All Category I submittals are subject to advance <br />approval. Upon completion of review o.f Category I submittals, the drawing <br />reproducible and print and the other pertinent data will be identified as <br />having received approval by being so stamped and dated.
