well as for panel placement and the setting of
reference monuments.

3. All paneled points shall be located and
appropriately labeled on the mapping. This
includes existing benchmarks and known section
corners.

4. Removal of all panels upon satisfactory completion
of the field work shall be required.

E.

Ground Control Layout. The horizontal and vertical
ground control system and panel layout to be used for
the project shall be submitted to the CWCB for review
and approval as to its adequacy pr ior to the aerial
photoqraphy. Mapping projects that are designed to u-se
all field-surveyed control should have sufficient
survey points established in order to set and properly
evaluate the orientation of each separate model. If
full analytical photogrammetry or analytical
aerotriangu1ation is proposed, the computer model
shall be referenced and the procedure outlined in
sufficient detail to be evaluated. Semi-analytical
bridging methods have been used for portions of
previous work but have not been generally satisfac-
tory. proposals involving semi-analytical bridging for
all or part of the control shall not be accepted unless
the reasons for its use and the procedure to be used
are reviewed and approved by the CWCB. Preference will
be given to those contractors proposing to use a full
field-surveyed control method.

F.

Camera Focal Len'jlth. Preference will be given to the
proposals emp10Ylng a 6" focal length camera. Other
focal lengths are acceptable if their use is compatible
wi th the specified accuracy for the equipment to be
used as proposed.

G.

Cross-Section A1i~nment. The cross-section alignments
shall be located irectly on a set of the contact
prints and shall be digitized during the mapping
phase. In order to handle this task in a timely
manner, 1 set of aerial photographs shall be completely
labeled and provided to the CWCB as soon as possible
after flying.

H. Section Lines. Section lines within the project area
shall be located on the final mylar maps by the
fOllowing procedures:

-8-
