If not removed, they must be engineered to comply with the <br />town's floodplain regulations. <br /> <br />Who: Community Development Director. <br /> <br />When: Have news release published in the spring issues of the community's newspaper. <br /> <br />Supporting Agencies: Colorado Water Conservation Board. <br /> <br />Budget: Technical assistance from the CWCB and the City's operating budget. <br /> <br />Recommendation 3: Sandbal!l!inl! Operations <br /> <br />What: Sandbag: Have emergency procedures in place for rapid filling and distribution of <br />sand bags. <br /> <br />Who: Public Works Director, Director Community Development, County Emergency <br />Manager and Honor Camp personnel. <br /> <br />When: By June 16,2002. <br /> <br />Supporting Agencies: Colorado Water Conservation Board, Colorado Office of Emergency <br />Management, U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Sacramento District. <br /> <br />Budget: Sandbags from OEM. Sand from county gravel pits. City operating budget for <br />coordination efforts of the PW Director. <br /> <br />Recommendation 4: Rebuild dike protectinl! Sewer Plant <br /> <br />What: Create a ring-dike around the plant to replace the inadequate dike currently on the <br />river. Also encase waste water lines where necessary. <br /> <br />Who: City Utility Director and staff. <br /> <br />When: By April, 2003. <br /> <br />Supporting Agencies: Colorado Water Conservation Board, Colorado Office of Emergency <br />Management, U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Sacramento District. <br /> <br />Budget: Grants (pending) from other agencies as well as matching in-kind from City of <br />Delta. <br />
